What should I expect during my first appointment?
Before starting your appointment, the front desk staff will gather pertinent information from insurance details to your medical history, including medications. Once you are with your perspective physical therapist, they will also go over your medical history in detail. You may have measurements taken, as well as perform beginning exercises related to your injury.
Do I need a referral from my doctor to receive physical therapy?
Yes, La Plata Physical Therapy requires all patients to bring a current order with a physician’s plan of care.
How much will physical therapy cost and will my insurance cover it?
Physical therapy costs vary depending on your individual insurance plan. La Plata Physical Therapy accepts a variety of insurances; please see the list of insurances above.
How often will I need to attend physical therapy?
Attendance is different for every patient. Most patients attend twice a week up to three times a week.
What should I wear to my physical therapy appointment?
Comfortable clothing that allows you to perform your exercises.
Will I be working with the same physical therapist throughout my treatment?
La Plata Physical Therapy has many experienced therapists on staff. Although you may be scheduled with one or two, it is possible you may see any one of our therapists.
